n some lathes in TAGUTI ,after the cutting of TAGUTI molybdenum wire ,it appears a patch of dark spots ,which are several or tens of mm in length, at the interval of several or tens of cm in length . The dark spot stands continuous discharge in a fixed position for some time ,burning and carbonizing ,after which it appears . Molybdenum wire Ø0.18 is easily broken after abrasive wear , brittle and carbonizing . Some black dots are caused by dark spot ,sometimes an array of flower patterns at a speed appears ,so it is called flower filigree ,moreover , the appearance probability in the thick workpiece cutting is more than thin ones .
Many reasons for flower filigree, but on the whole it is still caused by normal discharge between poles .
Once arc burning in gap is formed ,which causes the etch pit to appear on the workpieces and electrode .
To remove the phenomenon of flower filigree,which also needs to center around the improvement of interpole state for proceeding ,you may have a try as the following tips from TAGUTI:
- To replace the working fluid with a better detergency selected , such as Jiaru working fluid ,improve the cooling property between poles, firstly it must maintain the electrical discharge in the normal state ,which is also the important of all .
- Transform the pulse parameter ,improve no-load voltage amplitude of pulse power source, by doing which discharging gap is changed for the improvement of the interelectrode cooling state ,meanwhile, transform pulse power frequency that causes flower filigree to appear ,it is general practice to reduce pulse width ,increase interpulse and improve the peak-current so as to check whether the degree of flower filigree is decreasing or not .
- Transform the form of pulse power source ,eg, cutting by group of pulse and checking whether the degree of flower filigree is decreasing or not .
- Check the pulse power property with high frequency , a bigger negative wave and DC components etc are prohibited .
- Inspect and improve the insulation performance of lathes , such as dirty lathe ,wire electrode ,power feed contact , tube and the lowering of insulating property for the work plate, all of which are likely to cause flower filigree phenomenon to happen . Regularly clean guide wheel,power feed contact and tube with kerosense , keeping the lathe work in a tidy and clean environment .
- Sometimes it is not good in the state of cutting materials, such as the existencce of impurities, quenching etc ,which also possibly lead to the problem of flower filigree .
